Although transience, metamorphosis and decay are immanent components of Kegelmann’s work, there is nothing destructive about her sculptures. This becomes particularly clear in the impressive photographic documentations that the artist produces in close collaboration with her husband Pujan Shakupa and in which the beauty of the individual stages of development of her works becomes particularly recognizable through deliberately chosen perspectives and image focus.
