Konstruktionen

In her work “Konstruktionen”, co-production with spiders, Maike Denker captures what is otherwise fleeting. She captures the spider’s web on paper with the help of sprayed ink and a printing plate. The droplets that have attached themselves to the wafer-thin threads become visible in the print, while the web itself dissolves in the printing process. Denker captures the uniqueness of each collected net, which otherwise remains hidden from the viewer or is forgotten in the fleetingness of observation.
