The two-part sculpture Fat from Yesterday deals with the themes of time and reminiscence. The outer surfaces of the large steel pentahedrons are covered with plates that previously served as a work surface in the studio. They show traces of varnish and acrylic paint and are also smeared with margarine, which has expanded into large grease stains. The interior of the sculpture forms a contrast with shiny steel plates. The image of memories preserved by the artist in this way is given a new, three-dimensional body.
