KOPIE

Kopie is a 1-channel video installation. It combines a mirror image of reality with a media representation. Both together represent a copy of “Indestructible Object (1964) (or Object to Be Destroyed(1923))” by the artist Man Ray.

A ticking metronome can be seen on a monitor. In comparison, the pendulum is stationary and the metronome and the background are moving. A small mirror is stuck to the upper half of the pendulum on the monitor, which is just big enough to reflect only one eye of the viewer.
