Nadine Lemke
Nadine Lemke's work encompasses crochet installations, drawing and photography. Her work explores personal and social patterns, particularly the unconscious structures of connection and separation inscribed in the body, biography and collective memory through repetition. Using crochet as an open system, she creates an archive of shapes, knots, repetitions, and breaks, linking the historical connotations of female handicrafts with contemporary issues of self-empowerment, visibility, and materiality. Her works move between textiles, space, and sculpture, transforming fragile structures into multi-layered settings that redefine space, origin, and identity.
