Nemanja Sarbajic shows works that were created during his “quarantine residency”. He broke the word SOLO and worked with as many fellow artists as possible during the month. Among them Tobias Talbot, Rene Sulzer, Kilian Kretschmer, Nathalie Franz, Alexander Suvorov, Alex Thelen, Jehad Othman, Jana Lalovic.

THE WANT FROM THE SHOULD WITHOUT KNOWING THAT YOU HAVE TO
“For me, the formula “THE WANT FROM THE SHOULD WITHOUT KNOWING THAT YOU HAVE TO” means being aware of the confidence you have in your own work. To work without compulsion. But with a commitment that stems from the belief that what you do has to be done. Without right or wrong. But with a demand that arises from the responsibility towards the work.

SOLO
ato vacates its temporary office in Karlsruhe's Kaiserstraße and makes room for art and artists.
Under the name SOLO, a series has been launched since June that enables artists to be present in the cityscape and at the same time offers free space.
On specially designated days, the respective artist opens their temporary exhibition space and enables visitors to experience the artistic process in an intimate way through individual slots.
The name SOLO consciously plays with the established term “solo exhibition” in the art scene, but also refers to the new role of the viewer, who is (forced) to face the work and the artist alone in the exhibition space.
