The diptych “I want to be a cactus, ok with my natural form” addresses the discrepancy between the societal appreciation of the natural, diverse forms of cacti and the restrictive beauty standards imposed particularly on female-read bodies. Through the aesthetic staging of botanical eccentricity, the work challenges normative body ideals and opens a critical reflection on the cultural regulation of femininity.
