Are you a freelance curator looking to break new ground with artists in your network? At ato, you will be part of a vibrant network and online platform where you can showcase your artists' work, organize exhibitions, and present it online independently with plenty of support from us.

How does payment work?

Instead of a fixed salary, you receive a percentage of sales—at least 20%, and up to 40% for your own exhibitions. As a standard rate, your artists receive 70% of the proceeds, which is significantly more than in traditional galleries. By working together, we are creating a fairer and more transparent art market.

What do we expect from you?

As a freelance art agent, your tasks include the following activities in particular:

1. As the artist's direct contact person, networker, and mediator, the agent plays a crucial role.
2. As an agent, you are responsible for creating and collecting up-to-date content for the website, as well as supporting the artist with questions and ideas. You stay up to date on the artist's development, new works, and concepts. To this end, you maintain regular contact with the artist because you are the bridge between them and ato.
3. You inform ato in a timely manner about the artist's exhibitions and activities so that they can be shared with the network.
4. You can also organize exhibitions as an art agent.
5. ato is available to advise you. For example, you can consult with them when making decisions about the inclusion of further artworks, organizing exhibitions, realizing artistic cooperation projects, and securing funding.
6. ato wants to support art agents in their work as much as possible, including through consultation formats and networking opportunities.
7. As an agent, you can join the ato agency model and receive external job offers based on your professional skills.

How can you apply?

Send us your application. Please note that you must collaborate with and recommend at least two artists. If you are selected, you can start working with those artists immediately, and they won't have to reapply.

Become part of our vision as an artist!

Artists can also apply with their art agents. If you work with an art agent, it's best to apply with them or have them recommend you. Artists who apply with an agent have a much better chance of being accepted. Working with experienced curators makes it easier to showcase your art and get off to a successful start in the network.
