on/off – Questions of Timing

Is art a question of timing?

How does the duration of viewing art influence our personal perception? How can concentration and focus within an exhibition be intensified through reduction and rhythm? To what extent does perception change in an exhibition if the artworks are viewed by the viewers in different orders? Is viewing art ultimately also a question of timing?

Visitors to the exhibition are invited to follow a 60-minute cycle: Instead of a simultaneous show of works, on/off - Questions of Timing enables a sequential viewing of the individual works. This deliberate restriction of what is shown influences the art experience, continuously changes the mood in the interior and exterior space and refuses conventional sensory overload.

Make a toast with us!

An invitation to visitors to sharpen their own focus, to rethink habitual viewing patterns and speeds and to experience works of art more intensively.

We are very much looking forward to experiencing concentrated art with you and toasting it in a special place in Berlin!
